Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club at the 24H BARCELONA
Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club Press ReleaseLotus On Track Racing Drivers Club will start at a team best of 4th in class for the 24 hours

of Barcelona following qualifying that was held today. Drivers Steve Quick, James Knight, Ken Savage and Jamie Stanley each completed there minimum 3 timed laps in order to start the race with Stanley setting a lap time of 2:08.018 seconds to secure the teams qualifying position. Only an Alternator issue prevented the team from having a final run in the final minutes of qualifying which the team are sure could of secured them third position.
With the Alternator issue hampering the teams night practice running, a battle against the clock emerged to get all four drivers through the minimum 3 laps each. With Jamie having never having driven the Barcelona 24 Hour he need to go first and set a mid 2:11 lap time
to get the team on the board followed by Steve Quick and finally Ken Savage, as the session wore on, the alternator issues persevered and it was apparent that the car wasrunning short on electric.
James knight took to the car for the final run in qualifying. After a heroic effort from the
LOTRDC team to get the car back out to qualify in time, it did mean James had to drive the
circuit with a booster pack in his lap.
The team are now working hard to get the car repaired ready to take the start with the car
needing to be on the grid for 11:30 this morning with the lights out at 12:00.
