3. Dubai
Dubai, the fastest growing metropolis of the world has unlimited ambitions. Each year there are many projects going on and every visit in Dubai will turn into a great surprise, even if you have been there already.
With some of the recognized world’s best hotels, five-star luxury can be offered with unbeatable service levels. Dubai is a compact destination where desert, beach, shopping, sporting, dining & various other activities can be enjoyed within short distances & minimal transfers. Its pristine beaches and lots of activities make the city a destination for everyone.

3.1 9 world records you can behold in Dubai/Burj Khalifa, without even leaving your hotel
The Burj Khalifa, the undisputed king of all Dubai hotels, is inspired by the dessert flower ‘Hymenocallis’.  It is by far the world’s tallest building. This is one instance when saying we feel on top of the world is completely justified. You can spend an entire day racking up some record-breaking experiences without even stepping foot past your hotel lobby.

How to experience the 9 world records:
o Walk through the golden doors and step in the world’s tallest building at 828 metres (2,717 feet) high. You’re inside a world record!
o Go up and down in the elevator with the longest travel distance in the world, it will only take a few seconds – these speed samples travel at 64km (40 miles) per hour.
o Take a moment when you reach the very top, as you’ll be stood in the world’s highest elevator of 504 metres (1,654 ft)
o Take a view from the world’s highest outdoor observation deck – at 452 metres (1,483 feet) high on the 124th floor.
o Step out and make a dance on level 160 - the world’s highest residential floor
o Join the call to prayer in the world’s highest mosque on the 158th floor
o Do some butterfly in the world’s highest swimming pool on level 76 indoor and outdoor.
o Have lunch at the world’s highest restaurant At.mosphere on the 122th floor
o When night falls, go dancing in the world’s highest nightclub

3.2 The DUBAI fountain
Experience a record-setting choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai. 6.600 lights and 25 colored projectors illuminate the 275 m (902 ft) long fountain that shoots water 240 feet into the air accompanied by Arabic and world music.

3.3 Big Bus Dubai
The Big Bus Dubai is the ideal way to discover the city. The bus network has two routes, the red route focuses around old Dubai and the blue route focuses especially around the new places. Both routes, with the well recognizable double decker, work with a hop-on-hop-off system. You can choose your own destinations by hopping off and on the bus, during the whole day. By buying a ticket you can go to the Dubai museum, the Al Maktoum House and make a cruise in a traditional Dhow for free.
Since 2011 you can also make a trip in the dark and discover the city by night.

3.4 Desert Safari
After spectating (or driving in) the fast cars during the 24H of DUBAI you have the opportunity to
sit in a luxurious four wheel drive SUV and participate in a desert safari.
Although Dubai is build on a desert it doesn't feel like it because of the many buildings.
To experience the rough desert a safari will help you explore the real desert.
You can enjoy an exciting drive called ‘dune bashing’, driving in high speed with impressive skills through the desert driven by an experienced guide.  These safaris can be made during day or night. The safaris go mostly within a package of driving in the desert and riding a camel or driving a quad.

3.5 The Walk
The Walk is a promenade that lays along the beach of Dubai Marina. It is a nice and cosy boulevard full of restaurants and cafes in Dubai Marina.
Here you can walk along dozens of terraces and restaurants while nice expensive cars pass by on the street next to you. For car enthusiasts is this the best place to spot special sport cars and limousines. The promenade represents an excellent mix of various international cuisines and offers something for everyone.

3.6 Shop until you drop: souks and great shops
There are at least 50 shopping malls in Dubai and there are more to come. Dubai is a paradise of shopping and all sorts of shops can be found. The Ibn Battuta Mall is a thematic mall. The mall has 6 departments: China,
Persia, India, Egypt, Tunisia and Andalusia. The Mall of the Emirates is, with more than 1500 stores, one of the biggest malls of the whole wide world. In this mall are the Ski Dubai, an indoor ski course, a cinema and an aquarium established.
There are also many traditional markets which are called souks. The souks lay at both sides of the Creek. Follow the aroma of spices and you will find the Spice Market in Deira. Not far from there you can find the Gold souk. Wandering through Gold Souk you will discover why Dubai got the nickname ‘Golden City’. The many stores sell golden bracelets, earrings, rings, necklaces and much more.

3.7 Dubai Shopping Festival January 3rd till February 3rd 2013
The Dubai Shopping Festival, also known as 'Layali Dubai' in Arabic, is one of the most famous shopping fiestas in the world. Dubai Shopping Festival has grown to be an annual shopping, entertainment and cultural extravaganza that attracts millions of people from around the world annually, thereby promoting tourism in Dubai.
The one month long festival, with the slogan 'One Family, One World, One Festival', offers visitors some of the major and best brands in the world at lowest prices ever.
The Dubai Shopping Festival offers a range of entertainments including international fashion shows, street-side performances, nightly fireworks, performances by artists, film festivals, musical shows, cultural events, all of which reflect the cosmopolitan character of the emirate. Even the parks in Dubai will be used for various entertainment activities.
After the grand success of 2012, the 19th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival 2013 will be held from January 3rd till February 3rd 2013.

3.8 Jumeirah Beach
Dubai has lovely sandy beaches with crystal clear water. Because of the warm weather of Dubai the sea water is nice and warm during the whole year. Jumeirah literally means ‘beautiful’ in Arabic. The Jumeirah beach is popular because of the place where it is located.
All the rich hotels are located along the beach and it’s been considered as one of the most exclusive areas of Dubai.
